Privacy and contact

Who manages polyg?

Vittorio Poppe manages polyg and is the contact for questions about privacy and content. Contact: contact@polyg.eu.

Data on your device

Language choice, accessibility preferences, scores, records, streaks, mastery and scheduled reviews are stored only in your browser’s localStorage. polyg does not receive or synchronise this learning data. You can clear it in the game and remove all site data through your browser settings.

Cookies, accounts and advertising

polyg currently uses no account, advertising cookies, personalised advertising or visitor profiling. LocalStorage is used only to make the game and your local learning progress work.

Anonymous usage statistics

polyg uses Cloudflare Analytics Engine to count visits to the static learning pages, clicks on their start buttons, games started and completed, and anonymous progress checkpoints in endless runs. Only the language, exercise type, run type, learning-page source and number of questions are sent. Scores, answers, exercise IDs, cookies, user IDs and learning progress are not transmitted. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track are respected. The aggregated measurements are accessible only to the administrator and are retained for no more than three months.

Technical hosting logs

The production host Cloudflare Pages may process limited technical logs to deliver and secure the website, such as IP address, time, requested URL and browser information. polyg does not use this information for advertising or a learning profile. See the host’s privacy policy for details.

External sources

After an answer, polyg may show a direct link to an external dictionary. No learning results are sent with that link. The external website’s privacy policy applies once you open it.

Your rights

You can ask about processing, correction or deletion via contact@polyg.eu. Because learning progress stays on your device, only you can directly manage that browser data. You may also contact the Belgian Data Protection Authority via dataprotectionauthority.be.
